TREASURER / TAX COLLECTOR

The Town of Lunenburg is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer/Collector. This position is responsible for the financial management, cash investments and administration of all town funds; including reconciliation of bank statements, cash balances, the collection and processes of all town revenues. Must be currently certified by the Massachusetts Collector/Treasurer Association or obtain certification within three years of appointment, in addition, the ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of municipal finance procedures and reporting requirements, state and federal laws.
The Treasurer/Collector shall have such powers and duties as may be vested in those offices expressly by general or special law, but shall otherwise report to and be under the direction and supervision of the Chief Administrative Financial Officer. Excellent PC skills, strong interpersonal skills and supervisory skills. Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with minimum of three year related experience or equivalent experience.
