Treasurer Collector’s Position
The Town of Maynard is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Town Treasurer/Collector. This position, which reports to the Town Administrator and Finance Director, is responsible for: cash management, revenue collection, managing Town’s debt service, bond issuance, tax title foreclosure activities, administration of payroll and benefits as well oversight of Town investments. In addition, this position is responsible for the management of the Office of the Treasurer/Collector to include: supervision and ongoing training of staff, budgeting, and associated management responsibilities.
The qualified candidate must possess, at a minimum: a Bachelors Degree in Accounting,
5 years experience in municipal finance or 5 years experience in private sector accounting in a management role and superior customer relations skills.
Preferred qualifications include: MCTA Certification, knowledge of DOR rules and regulations, understanding of municipal finance principles, and a Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting.
